The Garden of Heroes is the only regional sculpture gallery in Greece, the only historical park.

It is housed in one of the three buildings that were “saved” from the total destruction of the city, dating back to the eighteenth century. It is the home of Athanasios Razikotsikas, military commander of the Messolongites. The permanent museum collection of the “Exit” is perfectly exhibited, in accordance with the requirements of modern Museological Science, while from time to time, either unique originals are realized, or remarkable and interesting exhibitions are transferred to its space.

It is housed in the oldest building of the city, the ancestral home of Kostis Palamas. The activity of the Palamas family, who operated in Messolonghi the University of Western Greece, the “Palamaian Academy”, long before the start of the Greek Revolution is recounted.
