The Garden of Heroes is the only regional sculpture gallery in Greece, the only historical park.<\/p>

-MUSEUM OF HISTORY AND ART (GALLERY)<\/p>

– SPEECH AND ART CENTER EXIT<\/p>

It is housed in one of the three buildings that were “saved” from the total destruction of the city, dating back to the eighteenth century. It is the home of Athanasios Razikotsikas, military commander of the Messolongites. The permanent museum collection of the “Exit” is perfectly exhibited, in accordance with the requirements of modern Museological Science, while from time to time, either unique originals are realized, or remarkable and interesting exhibitions are transferred to its space.<\/p>

– TRIKOUPI HOUSE MUSEUM<\/p>

– PALAMA HOUSE MUSEUM<\/p>

It is housed in the oldest building of the city, the ancestral home of Kostis Palamas. The activity of the Palamas family, who operated in Messolonghi the University of Western Greece, the “Palamaian Academy”, long before the start of the Greek Revolution is recounted.<\/p>

– FOLKLORE MUSEUM OF MESSOLOGIOU<\/p>

The visitor can observe objects related to simple, folk painting, weaving, embroidery, agriculture, animal husbandry, professional fishing<\/p>

Archaeological monuments<\/p>

Visit to the Archaeological site of Pleurona, one of the most important cities of Aetolia in the 3rd century. BC .Walk through the Gates of the ancient wall to admire the ancient Theater and the ancient Agora.<\/p>

Leaving Pleurona for Aitoliko (little Venice), one of the smallest habitable islands in the Mediterranean, you can visit the Engraving Museum of Vasos Katraki, historic churches and a traditional local shipyard.<\/p>

A special visit is to Calydona, a Homeric city that participated in the Trojan War, where the legend of the Calydonian Boar was woven. The<\/p>

Visit to the Roman Baths next to the village of Agios Thomas.<\/p>

Tears. Walking through the ancient city you will see one of the most famous and active ancient Theaters, where performances are organized in the summer.
